She loves the ring even though it’s simple, or maybe because it is, even though I could have bought her anything in the world, even the largest diamond because every resource is at my disposal. The ring I chose has a diamond that’s only three-quarters of a carat, but it’s so clear, and the guy at the store said it was the most perfect diamond he had ever seen. It’s flawless, and I love looking at it on her finger. On the inside of the platinum band, I had him inscribe the coordinates where I fell in front of her: 52°11’56.75”N by 0°07’22.93”E.
