Natalie - Chapter 9 Natalie wakes up in a white hospital bed in an off-white sanitized room that looks exactly like a hospital room. She looks to her left and right. The floor is gray. That’s different. There’s a stainless steel sink on the wall to her left. To her right are three monitors displaying varying indicators of her blood pressure, her heartbeat, and other blips and lines she knows nothing about. A bag hangs high above her. It trails a tube that cascades down into an IV in her left arm. She lays there flat on her back wondering what hospital she’s in. She’s woozy. Thoughts aren’t connecting. Things in her brain feel jumbled. She remembers Drayden falling in front of her car. Her car impacts him. She runs him over. They’re on the beach. They’re riding bikes. Nata
