Chapter 10
There was a silence almost unreal. Ernest and Roni were in the living room of Houg’s house and were waiting for the house owner who was about to get to them. The silence started to become nerve-racking.
Roni got up and went near the window. Ernest, instead, stayed still and he didn’t move even when Houg entered.
“ Well met, my friends!” Houg said, trying to look friendly.
Ernest noticed that the banker’s face was tired and proved. It seemed like he hasn’t slept for days because of the bags under his eyes.
“ I have the impression that you have something important to tell me...” Houg said, sitting down.
