Chapter 14 Ernest spent the next two days in a religious silence. He had meditated long on the last events. He didn’t touch either beer or other alcoholic drinks, and this thing made him proud. He felt a lot better, even if he didn’t understand why. Of course he didn’t make any steps for relating to other people; but he was feeling good. The only call he had received in those two days was the one from inspector Carter. Strangely Roni didn’t look for him, and Ernest thought that maybe his friend grew tired of running after him. He couldn’t blame him. Everyone at one point grows tired. Even though, deep inside he didn’t really believe that Roni could grow tired of him. He probably didn’t want to violate his privacy.
