Epilogue
Roni was shocked in front of the grave.
It shouldn’t have ended like this. Everything had started with the fantastic story of a kid who thought he had seen his mother’s ghost and eventually it had ended in a tragedy. He couldn't believe it. He felt a knot in his throat.
He stayed like that for a while, frozen in front of that grave, until a hand touched his shoulder from behind. He looked back. It was Ernest.
“ I knew I would’ve found you here, my friend,” the investigator said.
“ Poor girl. What a bad ending!” Roni said almost in a whisper.
“ She was a psychopath,” Ernest made him notice. “The fact that she was able to shoot herself a bullet in the head demonstrates it.”
“ It’s still a life who shuts off, Ernest. It’s not easy to accept such a thing,” Roni said resigned.
