Chapter Fourteen Camping “Camping is as glamorous as cleaning the oven.” —Bunnie Don, Archie, and Legless were camped under the full glare of a streetlight and, thanks to the streetlight, Legless spent the night listening to the snores of Don and Archie. While the others rumbled and snored, Legless pondered and grumbled. The time for interesting had passed. Funny stories, romantic songs—they were no longer his repertoire, and as for philosophical musings, they were completely out the window. He was entering his dark phase, which, opposed to his blue period, was fueled by anger, mostly directed at Beryl. He rummaged for something to write with. He preferred paper, but as it was dark, that was out of the question. He switched on his phone; nothing . . . he headed to find the young ones.
