The night's air was really cool, and I just couldn't wait to go to bed after delivering the last documents to Ryder in his study or his office or whatever he called it.
I felt like I was really going to plead the whole heaven and earth with Rogan for what had happened earlier, as that had been like the greatest betrayal ever.
There were just too many things that had me feeling like I was about to lose my mind at that point, as I had spent the whole day thinking about Rogan, who was probably feeling cheated.
He was probably suspecting that I had something to do with his brother and that was simply disheartening. There was nothing going on between me and Ryder, and I was wishing that I could carry CCTV around to show that there was nothing going on between both of us.
