Tara’s POV
I looked impatiently from the window as I watched Ryder escort that prisoner to the maids’ quarters when he could have had his brother do that. He could have done it with any of his men, or even the maids themselves, as he seemed not to like having his brother around her.
But for some reason, he chose to do it by himself. Why was he acting so strange? His overall attitude had changed from the very day he had kissed that girl on the first day they had crossed paths.
I was also wondering why he wouldn’t want his brother around her. He was guarding her like some jealous lover that wouldn’t let anyone lay a finger on his beloved and that was driving me crazy more than any other thing.
