Tara's POV
I stared at Ryder as I waited patiently for him to reply to me. But his expression changed.
It was as if I had asked a difficult question. My heart started pounding in my chest as I feared the worst.
Damn! The silence continued, and Ryder's eyes went everywhere in the room apart from my face.
Why was he hesitating? Was this a difficult question? Was he searching for the answers in surroundings that were not mine?
"Ryder," I called him back, and his eyes met mine. I had to believe he didn't hear me when I asked, so I repeated it, "Ryder, do you love me?"
I watched as my mate's mouth opened, but no words came out.
This was outrageous, looking at his struggle to find an answer.
