"You don't have to explain. I saw nothing." Freya turned to leave, but Amelia called her back.
"Please, Freya, I don't know what came over me. No one needs to hear about this," Amelia pleaded, her voice trembling with desperation.
Freya, stunned, didn't say a word and headed to the door, but I had to call her back. I can't let this get worse.
I had already noticed the fear in Amelia's eyes and I knew I had to calm her down.
