Ryder's POV
“Where have you been?” I asked as I was wondering what had been up with Kylian who was looking a bit absent-minded ever since he had stepped into the study.
That had me wondering what exactly he had been up to back then. I was soon staring at him like he could have done something suspicious a couple of moments ago.
But then, I wasn't concerned about that, as I was sure that he couldn't do anything really bad even if I gave him the chance to do it.
“Yeah whatever…” I said as I was trying to get down to the main reason why I had brought him there in the first place. “Has Tara left yet?”
“Well…yeah,” he said as he seemed like he was back in the moment after having zoned out for a couple of moments. That made me observe him even closer as I had never seen him act like that.
