The next station Nova arrived at was an orbital farm. It was much further out than most such stations and had a very different layout. Instead of using the local sun’s light, which would be impossible as it was little more than a bright star, the station used huge engines to power batteries of incredibly powerful lights.
The shape of the station reflected the unusual requirements. Whereas most farms were spread out in long arms set to face the sun at all times this station was a spheroid shape, all the food growing areas on the inside surfaces.
