Chapter 34
Nova gave herself a shake. The locked hatch wouldn’t hold them forever, wouldn’t even hold them for long. She considered messing with it, locking it down in a security override, but shook her head. The more time she spent here the more likely someone else would find her or head her off at the hub.
She turned and headed for the next hatch as quickly as she could. Once again she was able to open it immediately, but this time when she went through her pursuers hadn’t even opened the hatch behind. She slammed the hatch closed, smiling.
Two more hatches and then she took a side hatch. Now they wouldn’t be sure which way she had gone. She made her way through several more hatches. The next conduit was longer than most, with six hatches leading off of it. She made her way to
