Xavier's POV
I was three miles into rogue territory when my phone buzzed again. I almost ignored it, but something made me shift back and check.
It wasn't from Elizabeth this time. It was from Elder Thomas.
"Xavier, stop. Don't go after her yet. We found something. Something you need to see before you do anything."
I called him immediately. "What is it?"
"Come back to the Silvermoon pack house. Trust me, you need to see this in person."
Every instinct screamed at me to keep hunting, to find Elizabeth and make her pay. But Elder Thomas's voice held an urgency that gave me pause. He wasn't one to call me back without good reason.
Twenty minutes later, I was back at the pack house, my chest still heaving from the run. Elder Thomas was waiting with James and another wolf I didn't recogn
