The SUV stopped abruptly causing my body to jerk forward and my eyes to open. “Geez Neesh, I do want to make it back to my pups alive.” Holly said rubbing her neck. “Something darted in the road, I was trying not to hit it.” Neesh said rolling her eyes and looking out at the road. “I think we should keep going, whatever it was it’s gone now and I don’t feel safe right here.” Nikki stated looking around as well. “Hey where are the guys?” I asked confused, they were right behind us before I dozed off and now they’re nowhere in sight. “They went ahead when we stopped for snacks.” Nikki said biting into a gummy worm as Neesh began to drive again. “When was there a snack stop, and why?” Holly asked “When you two were sleep, we got hungry.
