The garden was quiet as always, well except for the sound of buzzing bees. I liked it best this way.. when no one in the palace could find me, and my moonflowers hadn’t yet begun to bloom but promised they would if I just waited a little bit more and treat them a little bit kindly.
As usual... My knees were stained with dirt, while my hands were sunk deep in the earth as I slowly and delicately planted more flowers.
Behind me, Reika's voice drifted through the air, it was filled with excitement and enthusiasm just like every other day.
"Hey Essa" she called out and a small smile crawled on my face
"Odessa..." She called out again and I finally turned to face her.
"Are you even listening to me?" She said in irritation and I nodded immediately before turning back to my little flowers.
