Chapter 28:

The next morning, I woke up and showered in my own room. I went down for breakfast and noticed everyone seated in a large table but I wasn’t allowed to sit there as it was for the men. No woman was seated. Damien was there having breakfast too with his father. He looked up and saw me but then he saw his father looking at me too.
He motioned me to go inside the kitchen. I went inside a woman gave me some food. I quickly ate it up and washed my own dishes before leaving the kitchen.
For the rest of the day, I didn’t have anything else to do so I went up to the roof and sat on the corner. Rocking back and forth I looked at everyone leaving and entering the house. In front of the house there was huge forest and after that they were mountains.
I watched the sun go down
