Chapter 18

Chapter 18:

- Leave me alone -

'I was in a dark forest and the full moon was right above my head while I stood straight, afraid and scared on the wooden log. I jumped down and went further inside the forest, even though I had no idea why I came here but I remember someone throwing me on this wet ground and I running away from him.

That's all I remember...

Nothing else..

I walked around the mud, my naked foot going deep in the puddle of water. I was just wearing a long black funeral dress, I do remember attending a funeral a few hours ago but I have no idea whose was it. They were a lot of people crying and screaming while I was just staring at the persons dead body.

Then complete darkness...

When I reached the lake, I kneeled down and looked a my reflection to see cuts and bruises all around my face. My skin was so dried like any moment it would peel off. I splashed some water on my face but when I heard a voice I immediately stopped and turned around to see my mother standing there in blood.

"You have to run. Go run so far that no one can see you and remember never to come back." She said in a robotic voice. What's happening to her? I ran to her and placed my hands on my shoulders why is she bleeding?

"What happened? Why are you bleeding and where are we?" I questioned when I freaked out by seeing more and more marks on her body. She didn't even look in my eyes instead she pushed me back on the ground.

"I said go run, they are coming for you." She yelled while pointing at the left side of the lake. I shook my head and got up from the floor, I wouldn't ever leave her alone. We promised that we won't leave each other.

"Mom-" before I could complete a bullet ran through the air and landed straight on my mothers chest. I screamed when she fell limp on the floor with her hand on her chest.

"Run!!" She whispered one last time before closing her eyes. I placed my hand on my mouth and cried while kneeling down to her body. She is dead but she can't be. She promised that she won't leave me, how can I live in this world all alone. I don't even have anyone else to go to.

My tears were endless, I kept shaking her but she won't even get up. She won't even open her eyes or breath anymore. Is she dead? Not wanting to expect that fact I got up from the ground when I heard a few more people running around the forest.

With my tears still alive and my wounds still open I ran away from my mothers body. The forest was pitch black and I couldn't see where I was going. I just could hear someone running behind me, telling me to stop but I couldn't.

What if those are the monsters who killed my mother?

I stopped when I saw someone right in front of me. I took a few steps to back away from him but I felt someone more stronger behind me. He took my both arms in his and pulled me to his chest. His breath fanned around my neck, I couldn't see his face because it was all dark so instead I shut my eyes tightly.

"You are mine, Elena. And always will be. I don't care whether you have a mate or not but either way you are mine. It was so easy to remove all those obstacles which stopped us from being together. And look aren't we both happy? I promise to find you wherever you are." He whispered to me.

He was back but he couldn't be. Why would he after all these years? '

I woke up gasping for air but someone familiar placed a hand on my fave and pushed me back on the bed. Panic rose in me as I tried to get away but he towered over me.

"Calm down." He said as he looked in my eyes. I was actually really relieved when I didn't saw him instead I saw Damien but what is he doing here. Oh is going to hit me again? I need to tell mom and she will kick him out but how can I move away from him.

After a couple more tries I couldn't even move a step so instead I started crying loudly.

"What the f**k? Stop crying like a b***h, I didn't even do anything." He cursed in front of me. I started to get scared of him. What is he going to do this time? Is he going to---no he can't. I will scream before he even touches me. I will tell everyone what he is doing and then they all will kill him.

"Nice thought." He rolled his eyes. Did he just read my mind? I can't even say that loud since his hand is over my mouth. Oh my god he is reading my mind. He is a demon. After knowing that I struggled more harder and harder trying to scream. When nothing changed I gave up and continued to cry.

"I will move my hand but promise me you won't scream or else I will rip your throat out with my claws. " he said to me. I nodded and after waiting a few more seconds he removed his hand. I took large breaths in and after calming down I questioned his presence.

"Why are you here? What do you want? If you do anything to me I will scream. I am not weak okay? So don't think-" I couldn't complete my sentence because I had nothing to say and he wasn't believing in my lies so I just stopped.

"I am not going to hurt you...at least for today. I just couldn't sleep and tomorrow I have a really 'big day' so I am sleeping here. " he said tiredly. Before I could ask more he pulled my waist and placed his head there. Is he going to sleep on me? What the heck.

"I am....going to...scream if you don't move." I said nervously but he didn't move instead he pulled me tightly.

I gaped by just looking at his hair. "I am just wearing my...never mind." I stopped when I touched his hair. It so soft. How can a cruel person like him have so soft hair. Oh I can't stop touching it. I will probably cut them and keep it safe. God why can't I have soft hair. Ah its so soft and smooth and also really shiny.

I hope he doesn't minds if I keep some of his hair.

Who even cares, he is dead asleep. Let me get a scissor from my drawer but what if I wake him up then he will eat me alive. It better if I just keep touching them.

They are still soft.
