Gabriel's question hit him harder than he expected. His expression was blank, and he was searching for the right words to say. For some reason, Cameron didn't want to refuse the possibility, even though it was the easiest route. He clenched his fingers tightly as his gaze with Gabriel got intense. He was asking himself the same question, and although the answers he got were clear, he refused to acknowledge them.
