Underneath the vintage car stuck out a pair of dirty jeans and huge black boots, throughout the barn rung noises of metal clinking. A soft sound of footsteps emerged as a pair of small boots came around the car.
James rolled from underneath the car and looked at Lola standing next to the car, “you got new boots!”
Lola grinned, “I did!”
James shook his head at her, “they’re just the same as the old ones”.
Lola grinned, “yeah, but these are shiny.”
James chuckled at that, then he got up from the rolling wooden board. He stood next to Lola and wiped his hands on his pants. He was so tall compared to her that she could have rested her head on his chest, his frame dwarfed her. Lola was a tall woman, so James' size was intimidating at best.
