Lola woke up with a grunt, everything seems to hurt and she was confused as she didn’t recognize where she was. She looked around a bit but the light hurt her eyes and her eyes wouldn’t focus right away. She noticed a tingly feeling in her hand, it was like a faint electric charge going up to her arm and her spine. It tickled her and made her feel warm and safe. As she focused on the hand she could see James holding it, he was looking at her with teary eyes and a big smile.
Lola hummed and smiled as she saw his face, she whispered “mate.”
James had to take his other hand to wipe a tear that fell down his cheek, he had been waiting for weeks for Lola to feel the mate bond. Now that she could feel it he was certain that everything would be good for the two of them.
