22. An Attack on the Daylight

Hearing that, all the attendees including the King and Queen immediately noticed the appearances of the three of them. Even the three of them also started paying attention to their respective clothes. That was true. Currently, even though they all wore school uniforms, there were elements of that colour. Liam wore a green jacket, Troya wore a blue jacket, and Mayang wore a pink jacket.  "You all shall think," said Sir Kay again, this time turning his body to face everyone present in this hall, "The three fairy godmothers who we all know were great, suddenly disappeared after the final battle against Valborga monsters. And a few months later, three foreigners appeared to this country. Look at their appearance that look strange. Unusual clothing, such as plastic or rubber that is used as shoes, robe material that is slippery and stretchy, strange shapes and too fit the body but still looks comfortable. This outfit was only worn by magicians. Didn't the three fairy godmothers tell all of you this?”  Everyone in the audience immediately became boisterous, but no one could answer correctly, because indeed the fairy godmother never told them anything about the typical witch clothes. In fact, the three fairy godmothers' clothes were no different from all of them. It's just that the three fairy godmothers have their own characteristics in the colour of their clothes.  "Even though they may seem strangers to us, they are actually already familiar to us." The knight hurriedly continued before they all thought too far, because if left for too long, someone would remember something and his plans would fall apart, “So, this must be the answer to all the problems we are facing right now. The three of them are apprentices of the three fairy godmothers! They were given orders by the fairy godmother to come to this kingdom immediately because only they could save the kingdom!" The knight closed very convincingly. Although honestly, from their appearance, the three of them were actually  unconvincing as a magician apprentice. Liam intended to refute the knight's explanation, because the story was ridiculous. How could they be witch apprentices when they didn't even understand magic at all. That's just ridiculous. And Liam didn't want to escalate the problem by telling lies. It was better for him to tell the truth than tell lies, giving hope to the residents that they were the saviour while right now they were the ones who needed help the most.  But Mayang immediately pinched Liam's arm to keep quiet and follow all the scenarios being arranged by the knight. Even though it sounded strange, Mayang saw that the scenario offered by the knight could help them more than telling the truth.  "That's impossible, Your Majesty!" Mr. Tonement didn't want to take it for granted either.  But by this time, the King and Queen had already been consumed by all the stories from Troya and Sir Kay of the kingdom of Diamantia. But once again, because the King listened to the opinion of the advisor, he still gave Mr. Tonement to tell his opinion.  "If they really are apprentices of the three fairy godmothers, they have to provide concrete evidence!" continued Mr. Tonement. "And this time it would be better if the three of them gave their respective testimonies about their magical abilities."  The atmosphere inside the hall was tense again. Even the three of them held their breath without realising it. Proving their magic skills? That's crazy of course. How could the three of them have that. The atmosphere was filled with tension and a tense silence. Everyone in the hall was curious as to what kind of magic evidence they would show.  Until suddenly, the tension inside the hall was broken by the sound of an explosion from outside the castle. The sound was so deafening, it made the heart beat fast, and adrenaline rushed to flood all the senses into alert. King Kristopher immediately rose from the throne and ordered the guards to check the situation outside, while he ordered that no one should leave the castle. While waiting for news from the guards about the situation outside, everyone was tense. Husbands hugged their wives, a father hugged their son, a mother hugged their daughter, even a child who had neither a father nor a mother still got a protective hug from the parents who were standing next to them.  King Kristopher was seen pacing on the throne stage, Queen Anna's face looked tense but she was not afraid at all. Meanwhile, the advisor's face looked worried. Until finally all the tension got its answer when a guard with difficulty and body covered in wounds entered the room telling everything.  “There's a gap wide enough for a single monster to pass through in the magic dome to the south near the forest. The area has been entered by dozens of these wild beasts. The closest southern village was nearly destroyed. But your majesty, there are oddities, because it's not bat monsters, but wolf monsters. " The guard's breath was shallow.  Everyone inside the hall felt panic in unison. They screamed hysterically and were eager to leave the place. Usually these attacks only occurred at night, because bat monsters have a weakness in sunlight. But now what appeared was a wolf beast, and that meant, they were in a state of insecurity both day and night.  Seeing the chaos, King Kristopher immediately ordered them all to calm down and that no one should leave the hall. The king was sure that the hall was protected by sufficient magic from the beast's attacks, so the safest place right now was the hall.  But of course they couldn't stay inside the hall forever. And they also couldn't let their protected area just be destroyed by those beasts. So the King ordered all the guards to eradicate the dark creatures, without leaving a single guard protecting the hall. The prince realised this. Not that he doubted the magic prowess of the three fairy godmothers when casting a spell to protect this hall. The Prince was worried about was a treacherous insider. Mayang looked very scared. Her trauma had not yet disappeared from the incident a few days ago in the forest, now she must experience this again. Even in the place she thought was safest. Liam was scared too, but this time he was better prepared. While waiting for Troya to regain consciousness, he used those three days to perfect his weapon, a machine arrow, made of very strong steel, capable of shooting arrows of hundreds of meters, five arrows in one second. It was like a machine g*n, except that the bullets were arrows made of steel, so they could pierce the monster's thick fur and tear it through its body. Only the problem, since this was a trial, he wasn't allowed to carry weapons, he left them in his room.  BUM!  The ceiling of the hall shook, small pebbles falling. A stifled shriek filled the entire room. The atmosphere was getting tense, full of worry and fear. They felt like rats that had been cornered by their predators, nowhere else to hide.  "What are the guards doing, why can't they finish off those monsters!" cursed the King feeling so angry and desperate.  Finally, because of impatience, the King ordered one of the servants in the kingdom to prepare his weapon. He himself would go out to exterminate the monsters.  “Your Majesty, I think this is not a very good idea. Your Majesty must stay alive in order for the Paralia Kingdom to stand firm," said Sir Kay.  “But I can't just sit in this room like a helpless little mouse. I have to go out and fight on my own to protect my people. If I don't move, who else will?" answered King Kristopher in a booming voice full of dignity.  Sir Kay furrowed his brows, he was saluted by the courage of the King. But still, this situation was not that urgent so the King had to step in to resolve all.  "Then, let me just come out to clean up all this mess." Sir Kay's bargained bowed his body.[]
