19. Back to The Foreign World

1410 Words
"Kai," Troya muttered in her dream, while Liam was looking after her reading a book on the sofa in the corner of the room.  "Troya?" Liam asked closing his book and immediately approached the bed to check his friend's current condition.  Not long after, Troya opened her eyes and blinked several times to adjust the condition of her eyes that had been closed for a long time.  "Troya, have you become conscious?" Liam asked again hopefully, "Wait, let me call the nurses and doctors." He continued. Then the boy disappeared behind the door. Troya did not answer Liam's words. During the moment her mind was blank, it was difficult for her to remember what just happened, and why she was on the bed.  Her last memory was that she was at Liam's house and there was lightning and thunders striking fast. Maybe after that something happened to knock her out or something? Having heard Liam's words just now, about nurses and doctors, it seemed like she was in the hospital. So it was possible that she was injured by broken glass, hit by something hard, or fell off the bicycle. Small accidents like that were not the strange thing that she had ever gotten, because riding a bicycle, there must be slight blisters.  So maybe, apart from calling the nurses and doctors, Liam would also tell Papa and Mama about her condition. Even though at this time she wondered why Liam was taking care of her and not Mama. Faintly, Troya could hear someone outside the door. But after a while She was able to focus again, the voice wasn't a whisper, but rather a scream from a girl's angry expression. The voice was like Mayang's. "Why can't I be angry? We were not in a foreign world like this because of our will, Li! Troya was unconscious for three days. So why can't I be angry with them because they have accused us of causing all the calamities that have happened to their kingdom that we didn't even know existed before!” Mayang hysterical, then the girl burst into tears.  "Yes, May, I can understand. Let's go to the room first, I have something to tell you." Liam persuaded her. He canceled his intention to find a nurse or doctor because he met Mayang at the door.  And Mayang didn't seem to argue, because after that, even though she was still crying, they both went back into the room occupied by Troya. When she saw that Troya's eyes were open, Mayang immediately shouted happily and hugged her best friend.  "Troyaaa, thank God you regained consciousness!" whined Mayang. She hugged Troya's body which still felt weak. After a while, she let go of her hug, “You need to eat nutritious food. You just stay here, I'm going to the kitchen looking for food that I can give you!" she said, and without waiting for an answer from Troya, since she did not expect an answer, the girl had slipped out of the room again.  And now, only Liam and Troya were left in the room. Liam took Troya's hand and grasped it tightly. He was silent for a while, as if he was thinking about something, but suddenly tears flowed from his eyes. Troya, who was still lying on the bed, was surprised to see Liam's sudden, whiny reaction. She tried to grab this boy's head, and stroked him gently. "Sorry," whispered Troya. Her voice was hoarse and hard to get out, because she had been lying there for three days, so her throat was completely dry.  Liam shook his head quickly, “It's not your fault, nobody's fault. I also don't know and don't understand why we came to this world. But for sure, I have to take care of the two of you and bring you back safely.” Liam said almost like a whisper in the middle of his sobs.  Troya was silent to hear Liam's words. Her consciousness still couldn't remember and understand what was really going on, why Mayang was so hysterical and why Liam was so desperate even though his words were inversely proportional to the expression on his face at this time.  "How do you feel?" Liam asked again, wiping his tears.  Troya turned to look at Liam's face and nodded slowly, “Why are you here? Where's Mama?" asked Troya again.  There was silence for a while, Liam was still trying to understand what Troya had just said. "What?" he asked again finally.  "Where's Mama? Why didn't Mama take care of me? Poor you, Li, you definitely have to finish your project." Troya said again in a voice that was still almost a whisper. Liam couldn't answer Troya's question. He himself was confused about what to say. But hearing what his best friend said just now, it seems Troya was still not fully aware. In the end, Liam was just silent. Even when Troya decided to close her eyes, the boy was just silent, even sitting back on the sofa that he had previously sat on.  Until then there was a noise outside the door, the voice of Mayang, who was like the hassle of carrying something until she asked someone to open the door. Then the girl appeared from behind the door carrying a tray filled with a bowl of porridge, a slice of bread and a large glass of fresh milk.  "Oh, Troya sleep again? But is she okay, Li?" Mayang asked, walking to the side of the bed and placing the tray on the nightstand. Then she stroked Troya's forehead to see her condition.  "Hi," said Liam, smiling faintly when he saw the young man following Mayang and sitting on the bench next to him.  "Hi, sorry if I just came here. After hearing from Mayang that the lady woke up, I came straight here, but I'm sure the King and Queen would understand that I suddenly disappeared." The Knight smiled.  Liam just replied with a faint smile. Meanwhile, after feeling Mayang's hand on her forehead, Troya opened her eyes again. She turned to look at Mayang's face and smiled faintly.  "So I see you are feeling better now. The poison turned out to be really strong. Even after the royal doctor pulled the poison from your shoulder and gave you medicine, you still passed out for three days. Geez, Troy, I don't know what to do if that monster's claws killed you in this foreign world." It was obvious that Mayang had been very desperate beforehand. "Therefore, now you eat the porridge, so that you are healthy again, and we can immediately go to the King and Queen to testify that we are not that witch's minions as they are accusing us!" She continued. For a moment, Troya seemed to lose consciousness again hearing all the babbling of Mayang that sounded completely absurd in her brain. Kingdoms, Kings and Queens, monsters and witch? She tried to dig up her deepest memories, but then she saw the face of Sir Kay who was sitting next to Liam. Not far from the bed.  Suddenly her nerves tightened, her eyes widened, her breath stopped. Flashes of terrifying memories when they were being chased by that dark monster returned to her mind. Suddenly her body immediately shivered with horror.  Her two hands tightly hugged her own body. She was still trying to accept all the facts she was experiencing all of that. Her eyes searched the room. Now, she could really see that she was in a room with grey stone walls, with the lighting still using candles, a roughly shaped wooden bed, and a fireplace in the corner of the room.  Her hand reached over to her left shoulder and pulled at the pajama she was currently wearing. Her eyes saw a blackish purple bruise that was slowly shrinking and was now about the size of a coin. The scar still had occasional throbbing pain, but nothing more than that. The wound was much less pain than the last time she remembered before she passed out. She survived! The doctor was able to cure her. And she was grateful for that.  But wait, ... if she tought back to Mayang's words, it looked like things got more and more complicated while she was unconscious.  "What happened during these three days?" asked Troya. "I'll explain it, but you have to eat first. Okay?" said Mayang, already handing a spoon of porridge in front of her face.[]
