Troya noticed Kai's touch. She looked up to see Kai's face then said, "Germany?"
Even though he had guessed it earlier, but for some reason, he still didn't feel ready to explain everything to Troya. He sat down next to her and took a heavy breath. "Yes, I intend to continue studying in Germany." Kai explained briefly.
"But why?"
"It's the best to achieve my dream too."
“What is Kai's dream? Can you not study in this country? Kai can study at a public university in Depok. It's really good there too."
"Indeed it is as good here as there. But I got a scholarship offer from my homeroom teacher because of my good grades." Kai explained.
"Then just refuse it! Kai can find a scholarship here!” replied Troya quickly.
"It's ... not that easy, Troya ..., there are many things to think about!" this boy wanted to explain everything, but somehow, even though it seemed simple but he had difficulty explaining it.
“You doesn't have to study abroad. You can study here! And I can always be close to you. I want you to be near me!" cut Troya in half screaming.
While they were fighting, Miki came over. Actually he just wanted to take his bicycle. But when he heard Troya's rising voice, he was shocked and terrified.
Kai was silent deep in thought. Actually he wanted to reply if he also had the same feelings, he wanted to always be near her. But things weren't that easy. Both of his parents had him at the age of nearly forty. In a year his father would retire, while his mom had only a small catering business. Both his parents would not be able to pay tuition for his dream college. Therefore, when his homeroom teacher offered the scholarship, without thinking he immediately agreed.
But, that reason cannot just slide from his mouth. His tongue felt tight and he was at a loss for words of excuses. Therefore, instead of saying what was in his heart, Kai lowered his face. "I'm sorry," said him quietly.
There was silence between the two of them for a while. Troya looked at Kai's face in disbelief. She bit her lower lip, holding back all the emotions that were about to spill out at that moment.
"I ... hate you!" said Troya.
After that, she turned around, intending to take her bicycle and pedal it home. Kai was surprised to hear those words. His heart ached. He wanted so badly to hold the girl and hug her tightly. Forcing her to retract those words. Then, he would tell her, to always wait for him, wait for him to come home.
Yes, he should have said that. At least it was the best sentence of consolation he could think of at this moment. Therefore, Kai intended to catch up with her whose had already quite far away.
"Troya!" He called half running.
Troya stopped pedaling and turned her head. Kai was relieved that the girl was still willing to answer his calls. He was still half running towards her position, when suddenly, from the corner of his eye in the opposite direction to the girl position, he saw Miki, one of his most beloved humans also in this world, was pushing his bicycle across the road in a hurry, because a flat tire he couldn't ride it.
Meanwhile, around the corner, there was a car that was going fast. The driver would not know that when he turned the corner, he would run into a child pushing his bicycle. Likewise with Miki, at the age of only eight years, he must have never imagined that a car would speed up at him.
Therefore, without thinking twice, Kai turned his body towards Miki's place. Troya who saw Kai's act naturally felt angry. Even though the young man had called him earlier, why was he turning around now?
Feeling annoyed, the girl intended to pedal her bicycle back. But she didn't do that, when she heard the screeching of the car's wheels, followed by the sound of two objects colliding very fast. And as if in a slow motion scene, with her own eyes, Troya saw Kai's body bouncing about five meters away, then slumping, motionless, while fresh blood continued to flow down the asphalt road.
In that instant, flashed all the memories of her past, when Kai had saved her from a motorcycle accident at that time. Everything felt like a dream.
"Kaaaaaiiii !!!"
