NIA’S POV
Months later…
“Snow!” I yelled, chasing the little devil as he darted out of the bedroom with my exam paper clenched between his teeth. “Give me that!”
His tail wagged like he thought it was a game, skidding across the tiles as he bolted downstairs. I followed close behind, nearly slipping myself as I turned the corner into the living room.
Just as I lunged and finally snatched the paper from his mouth, I heard Alexander’s voice.
“Babe! You’re supposed to be studying, not playing with Snow!”
“I’m not!” I shouted back, holding up the slightly crumpled but thankfully unchewed paper like it was evidence. “He started it!”
Alexander chuckled from the couch. “You kicked me out for distracting you, but he gets to stay?”
