I pulled up in front of the campus and shifted into park. Nia leaned over to kiss my cheek before grabbing her backpack from the backseat.
“You sure you don’t want me to come walk you in?” I asked, half-joking.
She rolled her eyes, smiling. “I think I can make it through the doors on my own.”
I watched her reach for the door handle, then said, “You know… you could’ve just taken one of the other cars while yours is being serviced.”
