NIA’S POV After my last class, I was drained but not enough to skip coffee. A few of my classmates were heading to the café across from campus, and I decided to join them. We sat at a small table outside, sipping iced lattes and laughing about the ridiculous things our professors said during lectures. The weather was warm, with a soft breeze, and for a moment everything felt easy. As I stirred my coffee, my mind drifted to Alexander. I smiled to myself. He was probably swamped at work, pacing with his phone to his ear, that little furrow between his brows that only smoothed when I touched his face.
