NIA’S POV I blinked awake to the emptiness beside me, the sheets already cold where Alexander should’ve been. A small folded note sat on his pillow in his neat handwriting. “Early flight. See you soon, love.” I sighed, clutching the paper to my chest for a second before dropping back onto the mattress with a groan. “Ugh, I already miss you,” I mumbled into the pillow. The house felt way too quiet without him. I dragged myself out of bed, hair a mess and sleep still in my eyes, clutching the note like it could bring him back.
