CHAPTER TWENTYCAIN DAY SEVEN CABIN Cain eyed the guard, he vaguely remembered him. And the blood on his face made a surge of adrenaline roll through his body. The guard was still breathing, Cain wanted him dead. Abby slipped her soft little hand into his and lead him to the sofa. As they sat down, he pulled her onto his lap. The guard muttered. “Man, you shouldn’t let him that close to her. He’ll kill her you know. I told you, he’s done it before.” Davidson sighed, and Abby tensed in his arms. Cain turned her to look at him and laid his hand on her heart. I love you. I made a mistake before, I won’t do that again. Abby laid her hand over his heart and whispered. “I love you too. No matter what he says, I always will.” He nodded but couldn’t completely let go of the tension he felt.
