CHAPTER TWENTY-TWOCAIN DAY NINE CABIN Cain helped Abby dry the breakfast dishes. His mind was still on everything she had told him yesterday. He had come to accept that his home was with Abby now. His old home was gone, and Abby’s world was now his world. With her help, he was learning to control the panic attacks. But, he still hadn’t been able to bring himself to speak, even though she kept gently encouraging him to do so.
