I noticed Rick deep in thought while he was with me eating ice cream. It seemed like he had a big fight, as his face was bruised by Zia. But I didn't dare to ask more because I was afraid it would worsen his mood.
“Rick, I'm off from college tomorrow, would you like to come with me to the bookstore? I need to buy a book.” I asked slowly. I thought he would be annoyed, but his face broke into a wide smile and he nodded.
