After the horrific incident she witnessed at Luke's house, Allie went back home. Luckily for her, Shirley was around.
She explained all that happened as she wept and Shirley comforted her.
"Are you sure it was him. It could have been someone else, you know" Shirley doubted
"How--how could he do this to me?" Allie said between sobs
"I'm so sorry"
"It's not your fault. It's mine for getting married to a philanderer" she wailed
"You know what?" Allie suddenly said as she cleaned her face roughly. "There's no point crying. There's no need to feel hurt because it wasn't even a real marriage. It was a f*****g contract relationship with no strings whatsoever" she inhaled
"Luke is a waste of my tears"
"Yes?" Shirley breathed, gazing wistfully at Allie
