Jostein Watching Madeline shift for the first time felt like a hand was clenching my heart. She looked so much like her mother, even in dragon form. The protection spell was wearing off quickly now, and her golden eyes and the red streak in her hair were now prominent. Sometimes, when she moved just right, I would swear she was her mother. Freya would have been such a good mother and would have taught Madeline to be fierce and unapologetic for who she is. She will get there; it will just take a little time. Her movements and training were coming along surprisingly fast, even by my standards. I am sure there was a spell somewhere along the line that Anna had done to enhance everything about her, since she was not able to be raised with the knowledge and training she should have had.
