Madeline was exhausted last night by the time we made it back. I had watched her sleep for quite a while, I held down my fears at her being revealed to the world. I was so afraid I would not be able to protect her. Even though she was learning fast she did not have the chance to learn as she grew like the rest of us had. She was training with her father while I stood with mine.
"Did you know?" I finally asked him.
"I knew but was sworn to secrecy." He finally admitted.
"And Madeline?" I questioned.
"I did not know until Jostein had sent her away. I'm sorry for my part in all of this but as a protector family I had obligations until the need arose." He tried to explain.
"Did you know what Madeline was when you first saw her?" I asked.
