I was in shock watching Meg slam Joshua into the floor. She ushered me outside quickly and started walking towards the packhouse.
“Are you alright?” I finally questioned her.
“Yes, just cussing the moon goddess for a moment. What was she thinking, pairing me with that man!” She was angry and sad. I could see it all over her face.
“I can see how that came across, but I do not think he meant any harm by it. From what I can tell, he just has a different sense of humor.” I tried to reassure her. "I truly think Joshua is a good man."
