When we get back to the house Ember goes straight to the shower, I have figured out that she is avoiding me. This time I'm not gonna let her, we need to talk. So, when she goes to take her shower, I go to another room and take mine. I am thankful that I had a change of clothes picked out and waiting for when I needed to use the other shower, that way she didn't hear me looking for clothes to wear afterward.
I stand under the water and the thoughts from earlier creep back into my mind. Here, alone, I'm forced to deal with my thoughts as they drown out the sound of the running water. What if this Vance is her other mate? What is that odd smell on her? Was with him in the Underworld?
