I return to the office to find my brother cuddling with our mate on the couch. I wonder what happened between him and Serena. It seemed like they had a past of some sort, but I’m not sure what it consisted of.
I plop down next to Lynn and pull her onto my lap, away from ‘Te. We look into each other’s eyes, and I’m overwhelmed. I can’t believe that I almost let her get away. I was a complete i***t, but I’m beyond grateful that I was able to get another chance. I let my hand trail down her cheek, her body shivering at the contact.
