Chapter 5-Pregnancy

It's the third day of her job search but still no one is accepting her. Most of the clothing companies she went to were not hiring yet and the others had high qualifications. She has no training or experience in other countries, so she failed in the qualifications.
She shook her head. Not to brag, but in the former company she worked for, she was the best designer. Maybe it's just a coincidence that there aren't really any new slots for designers right now. And others are only open for trainees.
She sat for a while. The sunlight was really hot and she felt dizzy from exhaustion.
It's tiring but she needs to find a job. She first thought of going to a fast food chain for a snack. She had lunch but she couldn't explain why she was hungry again. After eating she decided to go home. She will sleep first. Hopefully tomorrow there will be good news on her job search.

"Really Jam? Are you sure that you're saying yes to me?" Luke asked while holding both of her cheeks. She slowly nodded while smiling at the young man. They are currently below the Talisay tree. This has been their hangout ever since they met.
"Is it true Jam? Your my girlfriend now?" He still couldn't believe it.
"Yes Like,you heard it right! I am your girlfriend starting this very minute."
He suddenly pressed her chin and showered her with a kiss. She didn't know how many minutes he kissed her. It was their first kiss.
"Jam,you will never regret this I promise. Every day I will prove to you how much I love you. I promise I will never hurt you. I love you so much babe."
"I love you too Luke. I will rely on your promises." They hugged tightly. The sea is a witness of how they love each other. For them, this place is special. This is where they met and became engaged.
Jamilla's heart felt inexplicable that day. It seems like there is no end to that fun. He was very lucky with the young man. Even though he was rich, he never once heard that he looked down on someone like him who grew up in poverty. He smile as he look at her face. Luke is very handsome. She cant deny that there are many lot of women , even her best friend Trisha openly told her that she also like the Luke even though she knew that she is the one the Boss is courting

Jamilla suddenly stood up while covering her mouth with her palm. She went straight to the bathroom and threw up.She felt really bad. She couldn't understand why these last few days she was always dizzy and uncomfortable. She is always hungry but when she eats, she also wants to regurgitate all the food she has eaten.
"Hey lady..." she heard a voice of an old woman as she knocked on the door of her apartment. She opened the door and saw that she was carrying a bowl of soup.
"Come in Aling Mameng"
"I brought this for you. I'm sorry this is all I can offer you"
"Oh no, Aling Mameng. This is my favorite. Let's eat together. Just wait," She stood up while taking two spoons and a small bowl.
Aling Mameng became her friend since she moved into the apartment she was staying at. She has no companion at home because her grand daughter works in a Mall and it's late when she comes home. That's why every day she brings breakfast for the two of them. She was also very happy because the old woman liked to tell stories. She quite talkative.
"Jamilla would you mind if I ask you this,do you have a boyfriend ? She suddenly felt sad. She remember her dream last night. She dreamed of Luke again. And the day she answered him. a
As if it was real when he touched her lips. It felt like a real kiss last night. "
Aling Mameng ,no I don't have."
"With the beauty and charm?Oh, those men are so blind" She laughed at the old woman.
"Oh my God, in this day and age there probably aren't any sane men, right? I've seen a lot of people out there who just make women cry. I don't want to be in a relationship anymore."
"It seems that you have a bad experience in love that's why you're so bitter!Oh, when someone has a crush on you, just tell me, right? "She let out a grin. After they had breakfast, she took a shower. The old lady also said goodbye because she is still going to the market. This is the fourth day of her adventure in Manila.
"It's really hot!" She whispered while waiting for a Jeep at the corner. She already felt exhausted realizing how hard it is to look for a job in Manila.But still,she won't lose hope.

. A slim and beautiful woman greeted her. She knows this is the head of that department. "Hi Miss. How can I help you?"
"Good morning ma'am. I read your post yesterday on Find a Job App."
" Ow? I'm so sorry Miss but we already hired ten designers yesterday. "
She let out a silent sigh.This is really not her lucky day.
