Flabbergasted and shocked beyond human reasoning, I wobbled out of Dominico’s shadow. Denial and nonacceptance clouded my brain. Dominico tried to grab my hand, but I slapped it away. This has to be a joke or perhaps a dream.
“Jay? What are you doing here?” I asked breathlessly. My head pounded as it pondered Sophia’s words. “What’s going on?”
Sophia laughed like a deranged woman. “Didn’t I just introduce him to you? His name is Konstantin Leonid.” My eyes widened. “I know, right? I was shocked too when he approached me. Once upon a time. I thought I was the one using him, little did I know he was the master manipulator.”
“Jayden?!” I sobbed loudly, his silence infuriating me, and my heart broke into a million pieces. “What is she talking about? Who the hell is Konstantin?”
