“So we’ll put you and Trent and Porter over here.” Aunt Mabel moved around the table and indicated three seats. Lauren looked up from the clipboard where she’d been making notes. “Oh, uh, Trent and Porter aren’t coming.” Aunt Mabel whipped her head to Lauren. “What do you mean?” “I mean, I don’t think he’ll come.” She squirmed under the weight of her great aunt’s glare. So she hadn’t told anyone about what had happened at Trent’s four nights ago.
