Never taking his eyes off Kyoko, Shinbe leaned down and whispered something in Kaen’s ear while sliding off his back. With a look of mutual understanding, Kaen roared and took off back into the sky, leaving them alone and stranded. ALONE and stranded… Shinbe liked the sound of that.
Kyoko’s head whipped around at Kaen’s departure, “Hey! Where is Kaen going?” Looking at Shinbe, who seemed to just be quietly watching her, she took a step back. “Shinbe, we really shouldn’t be here,” the butterflies in Kyoko’s tummy decided to give birth to about a thousand babies. The way he was looking at her, like he was starving and she was the only food around, made her want to bolt. ‘Chicken,’ was sounding really good right about now.
