His Obsession

Chapter One

    The school day finally came to a close and I walked out of my seventh period class ready to go home. I headed towards the exit and joined in the crowd of students exiting the building. Everybody seemed to be staring in awe at something so I pushed to the front to see the girls in my friend group standing in front of a Traverse that was her mom's old car. 

    I walked up to them and said “we should get going, all of us have to be back by four and it’s 3:30.” Ava looked at me and gasped “I forgot you were driving with us, there’s not enough room in the car for you.” I rolled my eyes already knowing this would happen so instead I backed up and waited.

    The roar of my mate's Ferrari sounded through the whole parking lot. Everybody looked away from the Traverse, instead staring at the entrance in anticipation. The silence was echoing in my head until his matte black Ferrari came into view. There wasn’t a single person who’s jaw wasn’t on the ground. 

    It stopped right in front of the Traverse, everybody rushed that way. I walked past the girls shouting “I figured you would do this again so instead I had my mate pick me up.” They all growled out quietly but I just continued walking towards the car. A crowd of people were trying to get a glimpse of who was inside but I pushed them out of the way and swiftly hopped into the passenger seat. 

    My mate is the king but nobody knows yet so I had to make sure none of them saw him. He smiled before kissing me and leaving his hand on my thigh securely holding it. I looked in the back seat where both of our sons were looking grossed out.

    I chuckled and he pulled out of the parking lot with zero faltar. The engine roared as he sped towards the kingdom where they’re having a mating ball and throwing a party for his 20th birthday. “Why are they doing the mating ball together with your party?” I asked curiously. He shrugged, “I guess they want me to find my mate since they don’t exactly know we’re mates.” I rolled my eyes, “I don’t know how they haven’t figured it out, you brought home a pregnant she-wolf and have been raising two kids that she gave birth to.” 

    He chuckled and continued on with the drive. “I think I’ll just stay in the room tonight” he squeezed tighter, “you’re going” I shook my head and laid my head back. 

         The drive felt shorter than normal but when the car stopped I hopped out and unbuckled his mini, Jacob. He grabbed my hand and I walked towards the house with Kade and Laden following behind. Laden and Jacob linked hands and skipped into the house. Kade put his hand on my lower back and guided me inside. The boys were already playing with a little girl that we suspect is their mate. We stopped and smiled at them, “hey Kay can you watch them while we get ready” she gave me a nod and me and Kade walked off towards our room. 

         When we got in the room he gave me a look telling me not to test his patients about the party. I really didn’t want to go so I said “baby I really don’t want to go” he snarled at me “you’re going.” I shook my head and he pushed me down on the bed climbing on top of me “It's my birthday party, I need my mate to be there.” I inhaled sharply and got really nauseous, quickly running to the bathroom. I threw up with Kade holding my hair back. 

        After a while it stopped and I stood up brushing my teeth and cleaning my face. He looked at me with a look of confusion, “what’s going on Ayla.” I shrugged “nothing, everything’s normal honestly.” He knew I was lying without me even saying it, “are you pregnant again.” I nodded and he smiled pulling me up to him. He lifted my chin up and looked into my eyes, “you really are my hero.” I couldn’t help but to blush, “you gave me my twin boys and now there’s another little peanut in your belly.” I smiled and he leaned down planting a kiss on my lips. 

         He let go of my waist and walked to the closet, he brought back his hoodie, boxers and a pair of gray sweatpants. “Put this on I’m going to go take a shower and get dressed.” I nodded and then quickly undressed, throwing on the comfy clothes that smell like him. I laid down on the bed quickly passing out, he rubbed my cheek until I woke up. Both of the twins were dressed standing next to him. “It’s time for the party” I shook my head but he lifted me up bridal style and set me on my feet. I already had shoes on so I gave him a glare knowing that he outsmarted me. He put his arm at the small of my back and lifted Jake into his arms. Laden on the other hand just grabbed my hand and skipped next to us as we walked out. 

    Once we were down stairs a lot of dirty looks were thrown at me because I wasn’t all dressed up. My mom ran up to me, “what the hell are you wearing, you represent our pack and the she-wolves in it.” I rolled my eyes and walked around her towards the king and queens table. There was a woman sitting in my seat, Kade set Jacob down and walked to the woman, “this is my queen's seat so please move.” His mom walked up behind him and led him to his seat. “Good news we found you a bride and she’s willing to adopt the twins so you can raise them together as mates.” The boys both hid behind me in fear pulling my pants closer to them. I stumbled slightly but caught my balance growing dizzy from her words, Jake ran to Kade and hugged him tight. The girl tried to grab him but he slapped her hands away, “I’m your new mother you little brat, respect me.” I calmed my anger and walked over to Kade, “do not speak to my child that way, understand.” She gave me a dirty look, “did you not hear his mom, I’m adopting them” I laughed “you don’t have my signature and I’m perfectly happy raising BOTH of my sons.” 

    She gave me a cocky smile, “she’s the queen, her word goes, once I’m queen I plan to exile you so you can't be in between our relationship or get the kids.” Kade growled at her and stood, “I’m the king, you will NEVER speak to my mate that way, understand” he said, spitting every word with so much venom. She was trembling in fear, she scattered away from us quickly not wanting anything to happen to her. “This is why I didn’t want to come Kade, my body’s under enough stress I don’t need these people shoving their horrific opinions down my throat.”

    He pulled me onto his lap and held me close to him, the twins both wrapped their arms around me too. I felt protected with all of my boys holding me, “I worked hard to find someone that was willing to marry you and take care of two kids that aren’t either of yours.” I turned around, “first of all, these twin boys belong to him, Jake looks just like him and Laden looks just like him minus the hair. Second of all, I’m with him and we’re taking care of our children together. Finally we’re fully mated and perfectly happy together so he doesn’t need some conceited asshole in his life or his children's life.” Her eyes widened, “why wouldn’t you’ve told your mother and father that you’re mated with children.” He looked at her as if she had four heads, “I brought a marked pregnant female home and I’ve raised the babies for four years I thought it would be obvious.” 

          She glared at him, “we wouldn’t have this problem if you would’ve just told me.” He gave her a dumbfounded look, “there is no problem whatsoever.” She exhaled, “this is the next royal beta of the pack from Shay” I rolled my eyes, “nothing’s gonna happen just send her back.” His mom gave me the side eye, “we were only okay with him marrying someone that’s not his mate because it was beneficial for us. The packs were set to join together so that numbers grow and so does the amount of soldiers.” I shrugged, “send her back, he’s my mate and we have kids so there’s no turning back.” She shook her head, “I can’t send her back because her family should be here any minute.” When she said that the ball room doors busted open, and in walked……….my worst nightmare.
