Hunter stopped the car and put it in neutral, not turning off the engine. He made no attempt to get out of the car. Chloe noticed and paused in the process of retrieving her backpack from the back seat. She looked at him with raised brows. “You are not coming in?” The day before, Hunter had decided to keep her company, and they had lunch together. Chloe had liked it. It was finally nice to have both brothers talking to her without anger and suspicion lacing every word. Hunter shook his head no. “I have practice. Got to head back to campus right away.” Chloe frowned. This was ridiculous, she thought, and told him as much. “You can’t seriously be reduced to a personal chauffeur at the expense of your own life. You really don’t have to drive me to and from every day.” A chuckle erupted
