Sophie couldn't believe what she had just heard. She laughed nervously, thinking it was some kind of twisted joke. But when she saw the gravity in Bryan's eyes, she realized he was dead serious.
Sophie's heart sank. She didn't know what to say or do. Her dreams of working at the company she had always wanted to work for were hanging by a thread. She rolled her eyes and scoffed, thinking this was just another example of the arrogance of his wealth.
Without another word, Sophie gathered her things and walked out of the interview room. She felt embarrassed, insulted, and humiliated all at once.
"To hell with your job and your contract" she huffed and walked out of the company.

Bryan sat in his office, deep in thought about the proposal he had just made to Sophie.
He knew it was a crazy idea, but he had to take over his father's company, and he needed a wife to do it. He couldn't believe he had just asked a stranger to marry him for six months.
Suddenly, his phone rang, interrupting his thoughts. It was his mother, Mrs. Monrea. Bryan sighed, knowing that this was going to be a long conversation.
"Hello, Mom," he answered, trying to sound calm.
"Bryan, your father is ready to hand over the company to Marcus," his mother said, her voice trembling with emotion. "You need to hurry up and find yourself a wife if you want to take over the company."
"I already have my own company, Mom," Bryan replied, trying to reason with her. "Why do I need to take over Dad's company too?"
"Because it's our legacy, Bryan," Mrs. Monrea said, her voice breaking. "Your father and I worked so hard to build that company, and I don't want another woman's son to take it over."
Bryan sighed, knowing that his mother wasn't going to give up. He looked out of the window and saw Sophie walking out of the building, anger etched on her face.
"Mom, I have to go," he said, cutting the call short. "I'll figure something out."
Bryan sat back in his chair, wondering what he was going to do. He knew he couldn't force someone to marry him, but he had to find a way to keep the company within the family. He closed his eyes, hoping that a solution would come to him soon.
He was in no mood for distractions as he scrolled through his phone, trying to find out more information about Sophie. He had just made a life-altering proposal to a woman he barely knew and now he needed to know everything about her.
He dialed his manager's number and waited impatiently for him to pick up. "Jack, I need you to find out everything about Sophie Williams," Bryan said as soon as Jack answered the call.
"On it boss," Jack replied and hung up.
Bryan leaned back in his chair, closing his eyes as he tried to calm his racing thoughts. He was about to take a huge risk with this contract marriage, but he had no other choice if he wanted to inherit his father's company.
It wasn't just about the money, it was about his legacy, his family's legacy. He couldn't let his stepbrother Marcus take over everything his father had built.
As he sat there lost in thought, he suddenly heard a knock on the door. Without even checking who it was, he yelled, "I'm busy, come back later!"
But the door opened anyway, revealing one of his many sluts wearing a skimpy dress. "Bryan, I came to pleasure you," she said with a seductive smile.
Bryan didn't even bother to hide his annoyance. "Not now, Jessica. Can't you see I'm in the middle of something important?"
"But that can wait," she said, taking slow steps to Bryan, who had an annoyed look on. She walked to where he was sitting and traced her fingers on his broad chest, licking her lips seductively. Her lips were moving slowly to his but he shifted, making her kiss his cheeks in the process.
"I said I am not in the mood Jessica" he growled, and she knew he meant danger.
Jessica pouted, clearly disappointed at being rejected. "Fine," she huffed. " But don't call me if you need a b***h to f**k" she said before turning on her heels and storming out of the office, slamming the door behind her.
Jack, Bryan's manager, walked into his office with a thick file in his hand. He had a grave expression on his face, and Bryan could tell that the information contained within the file was not good news.
"Sir Bryan we need to talk," Jack said as he took a seat across from Bryan's desk. "I have some information about Sophie that you need to know."
"What is it?" Bryan asked, taking his eyes off the laptop.
Jack opened the file and began to read from the documents inside. "Sophie lives with her mom in a two-bedroom apartment. Her dad is deceased, and she has been struggling to make ends meet since he passed away."
Bryan sighed and rubbed his temples. He knew that with the way she was pleading for the job, that means she was having a hard time.
"Is there anything I can do to help her?" Bryan asked, feeling a sense of guilt wash over him. He knew that he had hurt Sophie by not giving the job to her, despite her qualifications, but he also needed her help badly.
"Well, there is one thing," Jack said, handing Bryan a slip of paper with an address written on it. " Sophie's mom is a weaver. She weaves children's clothes, so you can expand her business to convince her"
Bryan hesitated for a moment, unsure if it was a great idea to use his money on a stranger, whom he met a few minutes ago.
"Okay, I'll do it," Bryan said, taking the slip of paper from Jack's hand. Helping her mother was surely a great way to win her over, he needed to use her to achieve his goal.
"Do you know where she stays?" He asked, leaning back in his chair with a smirk on his face.
