INHUMANE
Dylan was wondering why the lady left but then, he was quite drawn to her feisty personality. She didn't even get to look at him the way every other lady in Venice, Italy looked at him. Everyone tended to be leeches and gold diggers without any real stroke of empathy, or genuine friendship and it irked him.
So he felt good about this runaway lady, maybe she will be his Beta for the pack and put them in perspective; to restore calm and tranquility to the Guerrero clan.
"Dylan Guerrero, easy Alpha. You just met her Wolverine. Win her over first, then maybe she can be yours." He said to himself and smirked as if he had just won a well-coveted trophy.
He was fine with finding her even if it meant combing the whole of Mystique Falls or the whole of the province of Italy. He was going to find her.
For the first time in forever, he just found someone who sparked up something fiery and passionate in him and he wasn't going to let it slip, not for anyone who is anyone in Mystique Falls.
One striking thing about Dylan is his resilience when he is trained to achieve a target. The runaway mystery girl just became his and there was no backing down now. His parents, especially his mother had shoved the settling-down spade down his throat and were talking about it a bit too much.
Imitating his mother's antics as if on a mock phone call with her, he picked up his phone and said in the closest to his mother's voice he could muster and he had a good laugh after, "Dylan sweetie, I found you a beauty from the Guidotti clan. Worry not, she oozes royalty and you'd love her..."
Then he meets her according to the intuitive techniques of his prodding mother and she is below his expectations he attempts to dissuade his doting mother from the quest to conquer his heart with a love interest and the cycle continues. The Guerrero mother and only son bicker at each other and his father and sisters can do nothing about their squabble as it relates to love.
Now she is silent on it, he will groom this one and beat her to the game of introducing beautiful women to him first.
For the first time, since Jacqueline broke his heart into shreds and left him to marry his rival Alpha, just to spite him. He loathed women and never wanted any commitment, but that was about to change. He just wanted to forget his sad past, one where he found girls who looked exactly like Jacqueline and punished them for a sin they knew absolutely nothing about. He was unremorseful then, but he started to bury himself in his empire structuring and he gave no time for serious love matters.
Remembering his ex-girlfriend now, his blood boiled and he nearly forgot he was almost naked, save for the towel he draped over his pelvic region upon exiting the water. It was a refreshing swim, a getaway from the struggles of being extremely rich and loved just for the financial benefits.
He took further steps to find his clothes and he grinned from ear to ear when he discovered the beautiful brown treasure map to lead him to his mystery woman...her wallet. She must have missed picking it up when she ran.
The rush was definitely in his favor, he thought. He was going to find her and employ every resource in his power to fish her out and marry her. He is, after all, the Dylan Guerrero of the McGregor Guerrero Group of Companies owned by his prestigious family that controlled a chain of businesses across Italy and outside Europe.
How could she not know him? He thought about it intently, and this made him smile the more.
He had heard her ranting and letting off steam about the job she lost. He was going to give her a job. Perfect way to get her in his space without looking like a creep or stalker.
His plans were beginning to make a lot of sense and he loved it.
He got dressed and made his way to his car safely tucked away under the mahogany tree up ahead, hidden from plain sight... especially on days when he needed an escape route to solitude. He found it in the heart of Mystique Falls and it was such a sweet coincidence that she fancied this serenity too.
The power couple, he thought and grinned.
He got into his car and zoomed off, not after getting a whiff of her scent off her wallet. He was going to visit her house to return the wallet, the first step of establishing something.
The drive back was chill, he let down the rooftop of his Mustang convertible and made a stop at his elite jazz club to have a few drinks and see a football match before heading home in the dead of the night.
An ardent night crawler and a man with an extremely rich wolf genealogy couldn't have asked for more, except maybe...a wife.
She could have driven back to the woods to get the wallet, in hopes that it was still going to be lying amongst the dried autumn leaves in camouflage since it is dusty brown too in color but, she didn't have fuel to leave the house with.
She cried harder.
Amid her pain and tears, her phone rang.
She answered the phone in rage and shouted, "WHAT!!!!!??????" "Oh my! Did I call at a bad time?" Said the caller, from the bank. "Oh, I'm so sorry. I can hear you now." She said sniffing.
"I'm sorry Hailey, the memo just came in and we are told to cancel all loan applications. In essence, we are not predisposed to enough cash to sort out the financial problems of the people without putting the bank at risk of winding up in this economic crisis. We are sorry." The phone went dead with a click and she didn't even get to say anything to show receipt of such nerve-wracking information.
