Fool's Paradise

(Avery's POV)

It's been a month, one whole month since I found out my fiancé has been having an affair. We'd been together for 7 years and engaged for 2 of those wonderful years as I believed they were.

Do you want to know they way I found out he was cheating? I went for a pregnancy scan at our local hospital, I wanted to surprise him with the sonogram photo and tell him we were finally expecting. That didn't go as planned, he was there with his mistress shall I call the blonde bimbo, she was heavily pregnant I'd say at least 7 months along. That's how I found out he'd been seeing someone behind my back, I went to my appointment alone as planned, however, I'd lost the baby within the first 12 weeks I'd suffered another miscarriage.

As I walked home I tried to think how I could confront him, I had no evidence only what I'd seen that day. I walked in the front door devastated from all the information I'd been given that day, he walked straight up to me and asked me if everything was okay, I replied "Is there anything you want to tell me?" he looked at me dumbfounded, "erm, no babe, I don't have anything to tell you. What's the matter?" I couldn't believe he could stand there and lie to me. "I'll tell you a story about my day shall I?" I asked, he just gave me a look that said go on. "I went to the local hospital today, my period, its 3 weeks late. You know the hospital want to see me at the first sign of pregnancy with the amount of miscarriages we've been having." His face paled, the colour of a ghost, he knows that I know of his dirty little secret. "Look I can explain" he started, I put my hand up, "I don't want to know, go live the rest of your life with the blonde bimbo" I stated. "In fact you can give her this" as I threw my engagement ring at him. "oh and there is no need to panic I've suffered another miscarriage you only need to support one child from one mother." I made him leave the apartment after that said I'd mail his things the next day and I'd pay the rest of the rent and take his name off the lease.

So there you have it, my fool's paradise of 7 years.
