The days went by and every rumor or news concerning me had mysteriously disappeared. It felt like a breath of fresh air and I held my shoulders high as I walked down the stairs.
Jayden stood at the bottom of the stairs. He was dressed in a polo shirt and khaki pants. With slow foot steps, I snuck closer with a wide grin on my lips.
"Yes, Mayor. I'll be there in an hour," the call ended and just when I was about to lunge at him, he spoke.
