Even I knew that if someone truly wanted to find a person, there were many ways to do it.
The simplest way was, if you knew where the person lived, you could go to their house. If they weren’t home, you could ask the neighbors where they had gone recently. If they had moved, you could get their new address. If that still didn’t work, you could visit places they often went or ask their friends. If the person worked, you could try their workplace.
A person couldn’t live in society without leaving traces, unless they deliberately erased their own footprints.
So if someone was missing, it must have been something serious. It meant all methods had been exhausted, and after running out of options, people ended up seeking help.
