This was the largest supermarket in town, bustling with families weaving through the aisles with their shopping carts. A middle-aged woman glanced at her watch as she pushed her cart, a young boy trailing behind her. They moved quickly, their steps hurried.
"We need to pick up the order from Mary by 3 o'clock. It's already 2:40, and it'll take at least 15 minutes to get there," she said. "We need to check out now."
"Okay," the boy replied, jogging to keep up with her.
I lowered the brim of my hat and quietly followed them out of the store.
The parking lot was mostly empty. I hid behind Simon's car, watching as they loaded their bags into their car. Once they were inside and had driven off, I opened the door and got into Simon's car.
"Do we follow them?" Simon asked, starting the engin
