Chapter 19

1126 Words

Three days passed in quiet tension. Matthew Stones stood at the edge of a sprawling private estate in the northern district, the White Family’s grand villa looming behind high walls lined with ancient trees. The evening sky had turned a deep indigo, and soft lantern light spilled from the main gates where elegantly dressed guests arrived in luxury cars. Security was tight — guards in dark suits scanned invitations with handheld devices while discreet martial artists patrolled the perimeter. Matthew adjusted the plain supplier uniform he wore — a simple dark jacket with the logo of a well-known medicinal herb supplier. Thanks to Kylie Kone’s influence, the pass in his pocket was flawless. No one would question a low-level delivery man bringing rare herbs for the evening’s private auction.
